Today is our last day in Albuquerque, NM & Enchanted Trails RV Park. My guess is Otis is probably happy about that!?! There are no grassy sites here at the RV park & I thought poor Otis would have a hard time going "POTTY" but no.....he adjusted to the gravel right away!?!
After we packed a picnic lunch we took a short scenic drive on the Turquoise Trails till we reached the top called Sandia Crest, the magnificent summit of the Sandia Mountains in the Cibola National Forest. At the crest we could look out & see all of Albuquerque below us. On a clear day, you can see a distance of 100 miles.
It was 44 degrees on top of Sandia Crest making it an easy decision to move our picnic to a lower level! We drove down the mountain till our car showed us 54 degrees, still a bit cool, but hey we may never be back here again, so we had our lunch!
Even Otis enjoyed the picnic!
After sightseeing it's time for chores! That means a trip to Sam's Club to stock up on supplies. When we got back to Enchanted Trails Lennie connected our car up to the motor home ready for tomorrow's take off!
Good-bye Albuquerque!
Beautiful scenery. I am enjoying your blog very much and have added to my 'favorites' list. I will be 'riding along' with you every day LOL. Have fun.
