Home again, Home again.......

October 30, 2015-Friday- This is it....our road trip is over, today we will reach home. When we leave the campground, Golden Isles, here in Brunswick, Georgia.....our first stop will be the Blue Beacon Truck Wash. Lennie always takes the RV home clean after an extended trip!

First thought was it's the park bathroom, but noooooo, I believe it's a new park cabin & they're installing the bathroom plumbing? We're done on this potty walk time to head back to the RV where Lennie is just about ready to roll!

Otis is all set to go, little does he know we're going to the truck wash first....he hates that place!

The minute you cross into Florida, you start seeing the Ron Jon Billboards. Then I think they're every 10 miles apart from the state line to Cocoa Beach!

When we left for our travel season, this was a vacant field. We came home to 5 new duplexes

This concludes our 2015 travel season so until next year......so long!

What to do in the rain???? Georgia bound.......

October 28, 2015-Wednesday- Our summer/fall travel season is basically over.....we are only here in Gaffney, South Carolina to have some preventive work done on the RV at Freightliner. There's no more sightseeing, just travel miles! Yesterday when we arrived at Freightliner, it was raining & it steady rained all day long, pouring at times! Today is suppose to be a little better, rain off & on but yesterday it was 47 degrees, today is suppose to be almost 70 degrees!!! We have the opportunity to go on a tour of Freightliner or just sit in the office waiting room ALL DAY LONG!?! Guess where we're going??? It's cool enough Otis can wait for us in the car! First  we have to take EVERYTHING that we keep under the bed, out, as they will be flushing our radiator.There's a lot of stuff stored under the bed!

We put most of the stuff from under the bed in the shower!

Once our service tech showed up, he & Lennie went over what Len wanted done, then we go over to the office to wait..............

Time to take Otis out....we're leaving for the Freightliner Plant Tour!

OTIS!!!!! Where's your manners!?!

This is a spiderweb in a bush outside the office, that has been collecting rain droplets!

& here we go!

This couple is also staying at the Freightliner campground! They're also going on this morning's tour! In fact, it's just them & us going on the tour!!

This was the Security that told me I couldn't take any pictures in the plant! 

At the Freightliner Plant, they don't make ANYTHING! But they do assemble motors & chassis for UPS trucks, FedEx trucks, Thomas School buses & Fleetwood motor homes.Talk about an assembly line!!!! Men & women both working together on their lines getting the finished product out, to the final stage....test drive! I really didn't see anything going on in there that I couldn't have taken a picture of???? They didn't know I just came from a tour of the Senate building & I took pictures of everything!!! During the tour, the Freightliner service department called Lennie. Of course there was no way he could hear on his phone while inside the plant, we were anxious to see what was going on with our RV! When the tour was over, we drove back to the Service Department, which proved easier than trying to call them, your know, Press 1, Press 2 etc, etc.....! Our RV is almost done & it's not going to cost as much as Lennie thought! $$$$$ That's always a good thing!

                       Look......it's 4:37pm & the SUN is finally trying to come out today!!!

 

Our RV is done, our time is up here, tomorrow we leave!

Blacksburg,S. Carolina---NASCAR Hall of Fame--Camping at Freightliner!!!!

October 25, 2015-Sunday- This morning we leave Cherry Hill Park we get an early start as we have a long drive ahead of us.

This is how early we're leaving!!!

Our destination is Cherokee Campgrounds in Blacksburg,South Carolina. We start  our morning in a drizzle. Hope the weather improves. Just glad it was nice while we were in DC!

 Even in the drizzle we can tell the leaves are looking pretty good, if only the sun was shining on them to give them the extra accent they need!

                                         We stop for a potty break & a change in drivers!?!

Are we there yet???

Nope..... 

                              I don't care how long it takes to get there.....I'm soooooo comfy!

 What are the chances when checking in(we already had a reservation) that the guy who pulled in just minutes ahead of us.....his name was also WILLIAMS, he wanted to stay the same amount of time, so he got OUR SITE!!!! The campground owner couldn't believe it!The only difference between the 2 Williams was......

This guy was a professional PET GROOMER with a PINK standard poodle!!!!!

Otis said he NEVER saw a PINK dog before!!!!

The campgrounds owner apologized for the confusion & led us to our new site.

The main reason we are even here is we have a preventive maintenance appointment for the RV at Freightliner over in Gaffney, SC & this location is close.We are also close to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. That's where we're going tomorrow!!!
