Are we there yet? 2013: Blacksburg,S. Carolina---NASCAR Hall of Fame--Camping at Freightliner!!!!

October 25, 2015-Sunday- This morning we leave Cherry Hill Park we get an early start as we have a long drive ahead of us.

This is how early we're leaving!!!

Our destination is Cherokee Campgrounds in Blacksburg,South Carolina. We start our morning in a drizzle. Hope the weather improves. Just glad it was nice while we were in DC!

Even in the drizzle we can tell the leaves are looking pretty good, if only the sun was shining on them to give them the extra accent they need!

We stop for a potty break & a change in drivers!?!

Are we there yet???

Nope.....

I don't care how long it takes to get there.....I'm soooooo comfy!

What are the chances when checking in(we already had a reservation) that the guy who pulled in just minutes ahead of us.....his name was also WILLIAMS, he wanted to stay the same amount of time, so he got OUR SITE!!!! The campground owner couldn't believe it!The only difference between the 2 Williams was......

This guy was a professional PET GROOMER with a PINK standard poodle!!!!!

Otis said he NEVER saw a PINK dog before!!!!

The campgrounds owner apologized for the confusion & led us to our new site.

The main reason we are even here is we have a preventive maintenance appointment for the RV at Freightliner over in Gaffney, SC & this location is close.We are also close to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. That's where we're going tomorrow!!!

October 26, 2015-Monday- Poor Otis.....today we are driving to Charlotte to see the NASCAR Hall of Fame, no place for a dog!We won't take off too early, we'll time it out, for Otis' sake!

We get lunch across the street from the NASCAR Hall of Fame. It was a restaurant with country food, we're in the South ya know!?! We better get over to the Hall of Fame, Otis' clock is ticking!!!

October 27, 2015-Tuesday- This morning we are leaving to drive over to Gaffney. Our appointment is for tomorrow but.......behind Freightliner, they have a campground of sorts.....electric only! When Lennie called to double check on our appointment, it was suggested we come in, park in the "campgrounds" that way we'll be here & ready for our Wednesday morning appointment! that sounded like a great plan for Lennie, not so great for me! I understand the convenience part of it but what are we going to do all day in a parking lot??? Not to mention it's FREE camping when your RV is being serviced, that was the real deal breaker for Lennie!!! Gaffney is only 10 miles away, we're not going to hook up, I'm just going to follow Lennie.

I wonder if Otis is going to miss my lap!?!

It's raining when we leave, we're getting the rain effects from Hurricane Patricia. I'm following Len the 10 mile drive to Gaffney. I left my camera with Otis, I sure hope he's getting some shots of the drive over here!

It didn't take us long to get here, I took the camera away from Otis. He was sleeping on the job!

It is raining even HARDER!!!!

After lunch, we got a break in the rain, we decided to take a drive! We found a Goodwill & a Walmart on the same street!!! We also found a donut shop(actually Lennie researched that!) We don't want to be doing a lot of dishes since we're only connected to electric! Actually I'm okay with eating out!?!
