We arrived at the RV park not in time for dinner as usual, our distance wasn't that great, this time we arrived in time for lunch! I made chicken salad for our lunch....too bad Lennie finished off the grapes this morning! The chicken salad was still good....minus the grapes!
This is a nice RV Park, especially if you want to visit the St Louis area. We're only here for 2 nights, but if we were to come back to the St Louis area, we would stay here again.
I'm not sure about Otis tho.......part of this RV Park was pretty spooky!!!
Good thing we got Otis in before dark, then he would have been spooked!?!
Saturday September 27, 2014 We only have one day to spend in St Louis, good thing we been here lots of times! Otis is NOT going with us, therefore we don't leave the RV till just before lunch & our first stop is a restaurant Lennie researched the night before! The restaurant is called GOODY GOODY a great hamburger stand!
The owner of this restaurant, bought the business from his father, it is the only job he's held since he was 13 years old!
Oh, did I mention they had A&W Root Beer in a frosted mug! We shared an order of onion rings! It was all good!
Next up.....a trolley tour of St Louis!
We didn't need a trolley tour to realize the downtown area of St Louis is under construction. What a mess, & talk about traffic congestion!
We did learn on the tour that the city of St Louis is celebrating it's 250th birthday as a city! In honor of the city's birthday, there were several cakes throughout the city! For the next hour we enjoyed a trolley view of the city of St Louis.(Mind you pictures out the trolley windows aren't the greatest!)
Lennie had one more stop to make before going home.....Otis gets his McDouble for staying in the RV being Mr McPatient!
That McDoubles was a real treat for Otis, I had a real treat too, Lennie put pork chops on the grill! Since we're leaving tomorrow, after dinner Len put our bikes back on the bike rack while I did the dinner dishes. Otis watched Lennie, I guess to make sure he was doing it right!?!
With the dishes & the bikes done, we went on a frozen custard run & I got one last shot of the Arch.
Good-Bye St Louis!
