May 9, 2016.......Ready, Set, GO!!!! ROAD TRIP 2016

Each year before I start blogging...I have to take a moment to remember how I did it! It's terrible to be so computer illiterate!!!!
On April 8th-12th Lennie & I attended our last RV Rally for the season, with the Florida Discovery Sunshiners. I thought we had too much to do to prepare for taking off to attend a rally....but we had no choice! We were the Rally Hosts!!!! When the rally ended.....we were up to the RV almost daily getting ready.Finally Lennie brought it home for a washing.

I shampooed the carpet. Then the packing began. In between preparing to leave we still had everyday life events to take care of! Lennie was still going to the dentist for adjustments, we had a funeral to attend,                                                        Lennie's birthday,

                                                                      Mother's Day

                                                     & then.......DEPARTURE DAY!!!!

Monday MAY 9, 2016- Good-bye Viera....hello highway!For as long as Lennie & I have been going on trips/vacations, up until he went healthy mode, we ALWAYS started a trip with chocolate donuts!We even called them our vacation donuts! This morning Lennie surprised me with.....VACATION DONUTS!!!!

I'm definitely ready to go now! A cup of coffee, a donut....or two & we were out the door! Otis has been a nervous wreck all week as he watched us loading the RV. Poor dog, just doesn't know if he's going or not! He's going, Len would be lost without Otis!!!

Otis waits in the passenger seat,

He wants me to hurry up & buckle up so he can get in his favorite position.....my lap!!!! We're off!

Our destination today is, the Campground & Cottages at James Island County Park in Charleston,SC. It is the first time we've been to this park, it has an excellent review. It's farther than we usually drive in one day so we better get going!!!

After our walk around the park.....I figured I earned the Red Velvet cupcake Otis gave me for Mother's Day!?! Yum it was good!

Every year when I start the Blog, something about it always frustrates me & I swear I'm done blogging! This year I upgraded to Windows 10 & the picture format was different. I'm tooooooo computer illiterate to figure out how to do things. I just about decided NO BLOG this year when Lennie came to my rescue! My hero!!!!
