A nice day to visit....A GREAT Day to bike ride!!!

May 22, 2015 Friday-When I wake up I find another excuse for not walking....I have to break that lazy cycle! The weather is better, but still I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt, I still don't trust the weather here!!! Today we're going to drive into Bristol to the Bristol Tap for one of their infamous burgers!!!We'll be meeting Ron there for lunch. On the drive over to the Bristol Tap, Leif called me & he did indeed buy the bike he was he was talking about, in fact not only did he buy the bike....he's already CRASHED on it!?!

Lennie & Ron go order the burgers & root beer, they have GREAT root beer!

Once you order the burger, it takes a while to get it, but it's worth the wait!

When we left Ron, we stopped by Leif's to check out his new bike & his "Road Rash!?!"

Believe it or not....we made a date to go bike riding together tomorrow morning! Now we're heading home to Otis!
May 23, 2015 Saturday-Today is the best weather day since we've been here, & yet I am not walking, but I justify that with the fact I will be riding my bike in just a few short hours! I'm trying to decide whether or not to have coffee....are there bathrooms along the bike path??? I better skip the coffee!

I'm going to take Otis for his morning potty walk while Lennie loads our bikes!

Otis is not happy we're leaving but that's part of being a dog!

We're going to meet Leif in North Aurora. They have a great bike/walking path there that runs along the Fox River.

We're all here & ready to roll. From North Aurora we ride to Aurora, 3.0 miles & back, then we ride to Batavia, 3.5 miles & back!

It's a nice ride....just look at our riding view!!!

Quarry Park in Batavia, boy has it changed since my swimming days!!!

It worked out perfectly when we left North Aurora heading up the river to Batavia, that we would arrive in Batavia just in time for lunch!!! We stopped at Pal Joey's on the river!

They had inside dining but we didn't want to waste this beautiful day!!!

         Riding back down the river we spotted this dog having fun!

The dogs owner said, he would go after the stick, but wouldn't bring the stick back!

All too soon the bike ride was over! That was 13 miles & lunch!!!

We have to head back to Hi-Tide, Otis has a limit!

I can relax now that my Dad & Mom are home!

 We made a pizza for dinner & just relaxed the rest of the night. Early to bed early to rise. Tomorrow Dylan is getting baptized during the 9:00am church service & it's a 52 minute(according to the GPS) drive for us! Oh man....& I was definitely going to walk in the morning!!!
