First we're going to Otis' favorite store!
It's his favorite store cause it's the only one he can go in!!!
.
Notice who Otis is
ALWAYS with!?!
Otis LOVES Camping World, & every time we go to any Camping World....they all seem to love him too! After a quick purchase, next on our errand list is
MY favorite store!?!
Sorry Otis, you can't come in here, but my list is short so we won't be long. It's a nice day out, not hot, so windows open, he'll be okay, besides Lennie always goes out to the car while I finish up in the store.
Poor Otis....the whole time he was waiting for our return, he had to look at a McDonalds!
& no he didn't get a McDoubles!!!
Back at Mountaindale we resume our loafing!!!! Should I start another ruffle scarf, or Loom knit another hat!?!
Lennie & OTIS finish reading a mystery book!
Is it any wonder this dog is soooooooo spoiled!?!
I took as much of this as I could, then went in to start my part of the dinner! Tonight we are having fish tacos, black beans & yellow rice!
Hey Len, is that fish ready yet!?!
Tomorrow is Friday the 13th, I don't know what's in store for us or the day.....!
Friday June 13, 2014 Whoa....Friday the 13th, I guess we better be extra careful today!?! Maybe we should just stay home!?! We really don't have anything planned for today, so far Colorado Springs has been a lot of relaxing! I like it, I like it!!!! No rain this morning so Lennie is out doing his 4 mile walk. I don't feel "SAFE" joining him on the walk this morning!?! After breakfast is always Otis potty walks!
Look how close we can walk by that deer!?!
This is the deer, Otis & I are walking by,
it doesn't even flinch!?!
This morning we're going to drive up to Cheyenne Mountain State Park to buy a annual pass.
With this pass we can now go to all the State Parks in Colorado. The lady ranger at the gate, has an adult daughter living in Port St. Lucie, Florida. That is where we lived when we first moved to Florida in 1991! She talked to us a little while before we continued our ride through the park. Because we had Otis with us(no dogs allowed on the trails) we just took a quick sweep through the park!
Looking back at the visitors Center
We did pack a picnic lunch this morning, so we need to find a place to go eat it!!!
AAAAH YES! Garden of the Gods, beautiful park, FREE & dog friendly!!!
The scenery behind our picnic table!
The scenery in front of our picnic table!
Otis & who else......!?!
Just SOME of the scenery to be seen at Garden of the Gods
Can you believe it....Otis is with me! but he's looking for Lennie!!!
Okay time to go!
Before we head back to Mountaindale, we make a quick stop in Manitou Springs so Lennie can call his mother., as we have little to no phone reception once we get back up in the mountains. I poked around in just a few of the shops while Lennie was talking , then it was time to go back to the RV park!
Now back at Mountaindale, we have quite the surprise at our site, well first it started out at our neighbor's site! Some of our "friends" came over for a close up visit!?!
This is our neighbors campsite
OOOOOOOH he's heading our way!!!
We are watching the deer from our campsite when they start to wander over our way!
He's checking out our site!!!
He would have come closer, but Otis started getting nervous about him being at our site. when Otis jumped off of Lennie's lap, it spooked the deer & he left us......thanks a lot Otis!!!!
That was a pretty exciting, makes the rest of our evening, dinner & Otis' walk just sooooo ordinary! Before we went to bed, we had a challenge! trying to photograph the full moon! A full moon on Friday the 13th won't happen again till 2049!
It took two tries for this photo! First time I went out the moon was hidden by heavy clouds. But the next time we went out.....success! Good thing, since we won't be around in 2049 !!!!
We had no bad luck today, so much for Friday the 13th!!!!
That gorgeous deep blue sky makes for wonderful vistas. All the other colors just pop. What wonderful views you are getting there. Love those deer. Isn't it nice to have them not be afraid of people....just wanderin' around like common pets LOL!!! Fabulous moon shots Wendy. I cannot get good ones at all with my Nikon and not much better with my Canon. Only at dusk will they come out a tad. After dark, forget it!!! Looks like gorgeous weather there...no humidity????
ReplyDeleteColorado is indeed a beautiful state! We love it here!!! The deer's lack of human fear just amazes me!?! We bought a new camera last year, a Pentax, we had a Kodak, but.....I couldn't take night shots with the Kodak camera even with the night setting, they never turned out, as you see, with the Pentax...they do turn out!
