Sunday June 8, 2014 we leave Las Suenos RV park in Santa Fe & head down the highway heading to Mountaindale RV park in Colorado Springs, Colorado.It's a little crisp this morning after last nights storm.

See the scenery!?! This is Colorado!
We had our lunch in a rest area & as we continued to drive toward our destination, it started to rain, the skies darkened & the wind really picked up. We heard a terrible noise, I couldn't tell where the noise was coming from at first....then Len could see from the mirror it was our slide topper awning!!!! A big gust of wind had unfurled our topper awning !!! It sounded louder than the situation was! I thought something was scraping our slide! We pulled into an area so Len could put the slide back out & bring it back in hoping the awning topper went in right....it did! We drove just a little bit further but the wind was so bad we pulled into a rest area to let the storm die down.......after about an hour, we could see some sunshine, so we left!
Here we are at Mountaindale RV Park in Colorado Springs! We plan to be here a month. I will NOT wait a whole month to publish blog entries, but.....being here for a month, we won't be rushing around doing something everyday. Some days will be good ole loafing. Blogging will not be an everyday or every week event. but every time there is something fun or interesting to blog about......I will!?!

We were here last year, it's a nice RV Park!
Being here a month we set up everything. That includes our Tailgater, which we haven't used since probably last August. That means Lennie has get on the phone to be talked through updating the Tailgater. That's something we forgot about at Mountaindale. It's a nice park, mountain view but little to no phone reception & little to no internet connection!!!! Boy was Lennie frustrated! I don't think he tasted his dinner as he hurried to get back on the phone with the Tailgater Geek.....The Geek....a young man, when everything was done & okay he asked Lennie," Everything cool now?" It was!!!!!
Bedtime.....wow after 90 degree temps in Santa Fe where we slept either with the windows open or the A/C on, tonight I put an extra blanket on the bed plus we pulled the quilt up. I was almost hoping for a storm so Otis could come back there & help keep me warm!!!! Hope It's warmer tomorrow!?!
Sooooo today is yesterday's tomorrow! After breakfast he gets the gadget out. It's called a PepWave. Doesn't look like much but if it helps me get internet I'll be happy!!!!I better take Otis potty while Lennie gets Technology involved!!!

Back at the RV.....Lennie is now on the phone with the PepWave Geeks!!! OMG!!! Another frustrating morning. I know this could take awhile so I take my shower to get ready for the day. Finally I hear no voices that tells me Lennie is done, either successfully or just given up on the Pep Wave......it was a success! I can blog now! Let's celebrate with lunch!!!

After lunch we went into town to the grocery store first stopping at a car wash. I know....those kids just washed our car, but we drove over here from Santa Fe in quite a storm! This was a drive-thru car wash, Otis barely noticed!
Just a few things from the grocery store then back to the RV for some of that good ole loafing I was talking about!

This looks like a very nice park. It is nice to not GO, GO, GO once in awhile. Sit back and enjoy the relaxation. I like the green rug...gives a 'homey' feel!! Weather looks perfect with those deep blue skies. Enjoy!!
