This morning when we leave, once again we leave Otis "in charge"!?!
Heading downtown!
We stop at a Farmer's Market! Now these people know how to hold a Farmer's Market.
It was so crowded it was hard to walk around. We got the veggies we needed & left!
Lunch at the NOOK! A Guy Fieri visited restaurant. They advertise, Small Restaurant With Big Hamburgers!
If there's no room upstairs to be seated....they seat you in the bowling alley area!
They are known for their Cheese stuffed burgers, but watch that first bite! When that cheese oozes out.....it's HOT!!!!
We continue our random sightseeing & wind up at St Paul's Cathedral. We like looking at churches????
It's a beautiful church. The first thing we see is a sign announcing a WEDDING is going on!?! It didn't say PRIVATE! Nooooo, it said you were welcome to take photos, just silence your cell phones!?! We weren't the only onlookers during this wedding procedure!?!
I found this strange.....I wouldn't want "other" people wandering through the church during my wedding!?!
Then the Priest (or official?) announced the start of Amanda & Garrett's wedding!
When the bride & her father made their entrance, Lennie was ready to leave. Myself....I wanted to stay for the reception!?!
From the steps of St Paul's Cathedral we could see the Capital Building!
We haven't been gone that long, but we haven't gotten Otis a treat from McDonald's in oh....about a month!?! He's waited long enough! Sure enough we get him a McDoubles & serve it to him by....none other than McDonald's finest!?! (I found that hat back in Salida, Colorado & was just waiting for the right moment to wear it!!!)
Otis had his treat outside!
Later that evening I was teasing Otis with his dog toys! He was trying to tell me those were HIS toys!!!
Sunday August 3, 2014 H-m-m-m-m no need to have breakfast today! We start this day of leisure with a donut from Glam Doll Donuts!
I don't know which one came first Voo Doo donuts in Denver or Glam Doll Donuts in Minneapolis!?! (Should I GOOGLE that!?!)
The donut menu selection was VERY similar to one another....
Still good, but I give the winning vote to.....VOO DOO DONUTS!!!!
Always the Apple Fritter!
Check this out! 17 BLOCKS Of Eating Adventure! I want to live on this street! If you can't find something to eat here, you're not hungry or too fussy!!!
It's Hidden Falls Park & the Falls are truly hidden as we never found them!?!
This is the Minnesota River behind us.The people in the background had just caught a ....at least a 2ft Walleye. They were so excited, I was excited for them too!
then a total stranger, just a guy from the banks, yells at the people,"Hey ...it's CATCH & RELEASE ONLY for Walleye here!!!" The people looked dumbfound! This total stranger threatening to turn them in if they didn't release it back into the water. I felt bad for the people, they already had it in their fish basket, they were already planning dinner!
I was NOT just taking pictures...I was a witness to the conversation! I don't know how that stranger knew that fact about the Walleye.....we didn't see any fishing rules anywhere?????
Oh well....we can't help we may as well go have our lunch!?!

I saw another fisherman while we were eating, I wanted to ask him about the Walleye rule.......
After our lunch we started driving back to the RV park. We stopped here for a photo opt! This is the point, where the Minnesota & the Mississippi Rivers merge together!
Another stop was the Henrietta Rose Garden along the Parkway.

We stopped to visit one of our friends in Minneapolis.....ooops wrong house!
aaaah, there it is!!! Just kidding!!!! Just a couple of the many,many,many gorgeous homes on the parkway these weren't even the homes I would consider mansions!
Our last photo opt, then we are going home! This is the oldest Catholic church
We didn't go in here.....it was Sunday, we didn't want to run into a Mass....different from a wedding!
Finally back at the RV Park! We "dump" Otis off at the RV & then....Lennie & I walk up to the Casino, which is part of the RV Park, owned by Sioux Indians. (NO PICTURES allowed inside the Casino) We don't gamble, but we did help ourselves to a FREE coke!
This is the FREE shuttle bus from the RV park to the Casino. We walked to the Casino, but we rode home in the shuttle bus!
We had won soooooo much we needed help carrying our winnings home! Lennie's holding my free Coke, oh yeah...I switched to Root Beer!!!!

After our donut, we drove back to the Grand Rounds & Minnehaha Parkway just to drive around some of the many parks, before selecting a picnic spot. It's not just parks, people (with money!) live on the Parkway & there's some beautiful houses on the Parkway!!!
