Pasty were "invented" back in the mining days.Today one might call them a pot pie, the miners called them lunch or dinner whatever their work shift was.I just call them "YUUUMMMY"!
After lunch our date continues! We're going to the movies to see the James Brown story, GET ON UP!
This is a first for Lennie & me....we were the ONLY ONES in our theater!!!! Lennie told me he rented it just for us!!!
When the movie was over (it was a good movie!) as we exited the theater, an usher with a broom & dustpan was standing in the doorway. I told him he didn't have to worry about cleaning up in there....we were the only ones in attendance!!!!
After the movie, we stopped at the grocery store to get some brats to put on the grill tonight. The grocery store's parking lot & McDonald's parking lot were connected, so......while I was paying for the brats, Lennie RUSHED over to McDonald's to get Mr McBrat a treat!
On the way back to the RV to make a certain spoiled dog very happy!
Lennie & I had brats on the grill for dinner, but don't let Otis fool you....he had some brats too! Now he's ready for his nightly walk!
Saturday August 9, 2014 This morning after the norm.....we're going to pack a picnic lunch & go on a Waterfall Tour! There's going to be quite a bit of hiking involved in the Waterfalls Tour, we both put on our tennis shoes, but already I'm wondering if I'm really up to this!?! Let's go find out....Most the waterfalls we're looking at are in Wisconsin, but like I said we are so close to the Wisconsin/Michigan line so driving back & forth between the 2 states to view the falls is not a problem.
So ends our touring today!
Our next waterfall Strong Falls was going to be our picnic lunch, but.....
Lennie & Otis waited in the car while I went to check it out! This park offers cabins & lodges, scenic bridges, & walkways, a picnic area, a playground, a campground, everything to make an enjoyable stay....unless you have a dog!?!
I almost forgot Lennie & Otis waiting in the car, I was really enjoying taking pictures of this park!
Okay....we have to find a picnic spot! We did at McClintock Rapids. It too had scenic bridges but most importantly....it was pet friendly!
Next is Veteran's Falls
This is our last Falls for today's tour. It is Dave's Falls, it was just south of where we stopped for Ice cream, so see the treat was on the way!Unfortunately Dave's Falls was another NO PET. We left Otis in the car, it was just a short walk to the falls, none of those never ending stair steps!!!
So ends our touring today!
The rest of our evening is pretty typical until Lennie takes Otis out for his last potty break....
Good-Night!!!
