August 26-September 1, 2016-Good-bye Cheboygan, Hello-Petoskey~Rainy day😓~Scenic Drive

Friday August 26, 2016- This morning we leave Water Ways here in Cheboygan & head to our destination of Magnus Park in Petoskey, Michigan. We have a short distance to drive so we won't be leaving here till 11:00am or so!

 Does this guy look like he's ready to roll!?! Don't let him fool you, he didn't sleep in

THAT bed all night!!!

                        

 Loading up the bikes,we don't need to cover them, the distance we're driving, no rain in the forecast.

               I don't think Otis realizes he's not on a leash as we finish getting ready to roll???

                                  NOW Otis is REALLY ready to roll, he has his lap seat!!!

 We're off, it was almost 11:30am when we pulled away from Water Ways, Lennie planned it this way so lunch would be on the road!

                                                     We can see the lake as we drive....

 We barely fit in the rest area, actually it wasn't a rest area, but a park in the town of Topinabee.We had a great view as we ate our lunch, tho it doesn't show up well in this picture!!!

       After lunch as we walk Otis, look close, you can see a guy on his dock enjoying the good life!

                                                  It was definitely a pretty beach park!

 We have made it! Already the park looks nice! This is a City Park, Lennie made our reservations long time ago so we could have a water view!

August 19-25, 2016-Next stop....Cheboygan~PICTURE PROOF!~Down days-Picnic 1 &2!~bike Riding~Mackinaw City

Friday August 19, 2016- This morning we are leaving Sault Ste Marie, Michigan our destination is Waterways Campground in Cheboygan, Michigan. It's only a drive of about 75 miles so we're not in a big hurry to take off, check out time here at the park is 11:00am. We start to take our walk(together again!)As we started out, it looked like rain, we decided to go back for our umbrellas. Len grabbed his out of the car, mine was in the RV. I stepped in the RV....Otis did not greet me as usual??? 

                                           Within seconds I saw a VERY GUILTY Otis!!!!

I wondered as we left if Otis got back up on the table!?! In the past I had seen evidence that he gets on the table, messed up place mats. This is something new for him? I don't know if he thinks he's a cat or what???? Since this was our last walk here, this time I brought my camera. We had seen this house, which seems empty, it looks so interesting, maybe even historical. I tried to Google it but found no information on it........

 Our last view of the International Bridge, we won't be going over that bridge anymore this trip

                 but.......we will be going over the Mackinaw Bridge! $14.00 for RV & car!

Waterways is a good name for this campgrounds, it was filled with boaters!!!

Saturday August 20, 2016-  Today.....we aren't doing anything!!!! Sometimes you just need a nothing day! Len discovered the TV antenna is broken, so he did fix that! I thought about cleaning the RV.....guess I'll keep thinking about it! It felt good to have a down day, & after dinner & the dog walk......look what we were blessed with!!!!
