Poor Otis, he had to try & go potty in the rain! Which really cracks me up! The grounds here were covered with Geese. Here I am, out in the rain, side stepping Goose Poop while I "Pick up" after Otis! The park signs say: PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG, the geese, well.......
He came to the conclusion it's a blown heater hose!!! Over 2 hours we sat on the side of the road. Len did call for Roadside Assistance but we are sooooooo out in the boonies, with little to no towns in between, there is no help coming!!! He finally spoke to someone who could give him some mechanical advice. After some thought Lennie was able to bypass the heater hose & by adding more antifreeze we were able to chug on to our destination of Marathon.While Lennie had his head in the engine, I turned around just in time to see a bear go running across the road! I was sooooo excited! that bear didn't follow the rules about looking both ways before you cross, he just ran from one side to the other!!!!I've been hoping to see a Moose, but....I'll take a bear sighting!!! It was during lunch Lennie announced we were DONE RVing! I understand his frustration, this is our 4th breakdown this trip. Our bus may be just too old to keep on truckin!?!
We're back on the road again, & just look at that road!!!! Good thing we have a temporary fix on the heater hose situation. We could never climb that steep road, we'd definitely be over heating!
There....that's better, all set up!
Pretty nice campground, too bad we only stayed for one night?
The reason we only stayed at Penn Lake Park for one night is the town of Marathon(unlike the Keys) didn't have much to offer as far as things to do. Tomorrow we're driving to Wawa! Yep....that's the real name of a real town!
