July 10-July 16, 2016-Good-bye again to Illinois, on to Lanesboro, Minn~Morning bike ride~

Sunday July 10, 2016- This morning we are leaving Illinois, our destination is Lanesboro, Minnesota. When the boys spent the night in the RV they knew it would be an early rise morning!!!NOT REAL EARLY!!!
Even tho the boys had to get up early.....it's never too early for donuts!!!
After donuts I made a human assembly line & had the boys helping break down the campsite! Stacy & Guy picked up the boys & once again we were heading down the road to adventure!!!!
                                                                         Here we go!

You can't drive anywhere without road construction!

Oh Look! I just learned what DISC Golf was & now we're behind a 4x Champion!!!!
Looks like we're on the right travel road!

Time to get on a country road!!!

The part of Minnesota we're in is called Bluff Country. Lanesboro is called the Bed & Breakfast Capital of Minnesota. I couldn't get a picture of the Minnesota state line, the sign was down & entering the Welcome Station was risky for a rig our size due to all the construction on the highway!!!!

Trust me we're in Minnesota now!

The Campground we're staying at.....Oh boy....the bridge is out right past the entrance.....!

The owner gave Lennie directions to help out with the bridge being out but......
We drove too far & there's no where to turn around on these country roads. we're going to disconnect & I will follow behind Lennie & Otis!
                                                                He's off~ I'm following!!!

                                                                            We made it!!!
                                         250 Campground-The Office & owner's home!

This is more of a seasonal campgrounds. They are known for their bike trails! The historic town of Lanesboro is a 10 minute bike ride, but a 9 mile ride & back due to the bridge being out. Supposed to be reopened in September!?!

I'm so happy.....new doggie smells for me to sniff!
Calling mom to let her know we made it to our new campgrounds!
I'm cooking dinner, I just happen to glance out the window to see Lennie talking to our new neighbors! Lennie knows NO STRANGERS!!!! That's good!!!!
Monday July 11, 2016- Today is FREE Slurpee Day at any 7-11 store!!!! We aren't anywhere near a 7-11 Store so no Freebie for us! But......we are near a wonderful bike path! A bike ride is the first thing on our agenda!

This is the trail we take today. There are 60 miles of bike trails here in this area.....Please don't tell me we're riding all 60 miles!?!

Sights along our bike ride!
I'm taking pictures....Len's waiting!!!!

Oh Oh.....we heard there were storms in the area before we arrived? A big branch across the bike trail ends our ride for today! 😘😍😎

A street in historic Lanesboro, I love the big old houses!
We stop at the Visitors Center in Lanesboro, Len like to stock up on brochures!
Look at all those bikes parked at the Visitors Center & NOT a ONE of them LOCKED!!!

We return to the RV to let Otis have a break, lunch & gather up laundry! Yay!!!! I'm so excited! It's quite warm out & miserably humid!!! Not a problem tho Lennie & Otis are going to help at the laundromat!
My helpers in the shade! This laundromat, was a combination car wash too!?! It was small, narrow & NO A/C!?! I couldn't wait till my loads were done. Anything that didn't need immediate folding I DIDN'T fold. I could take them home & fold in the comfort A/C of our coach!
The best part of that laundromat was the scenic drive over here, thanks to the bridge being out!!!

In the distance I catch a glimpse of the bridge work!
Otis is glad to be home after his hard days work at the laundromat!

After dinner we take Otis out for his nightly "HOP"! Yes.....he's still limping!
