Lunch in Chicago......Picking up Otis!

June 1, 2015-Monday-Oh boy it was sooooo cold last night when we got home from the graduation activities. We put the electric heater on until we went to bed, & Lennie had preheated the bed by turning the electric blanket on ahead of bed time!!!! This morning I was still snug as a bug in bed when Lennie went walking, & yes my alarm was set to walk, but my body said no way, let's stay in this bed & keep warm!!! This is when I found myself missing Otis as he would have gladly came & snuggled with me! We will pick him up from Izzy today! When Lennie came in, he turned the electric heater on to take the chill off. I was ready for a nice cup of hot coffee which also included a bowl of oatmeal!!! Are plans are to go into Chicago today but with the weather....I'm not in that big a hurry to go as it will only be COLDER in Chicago!!!

We got dressed for the weather & set out! Leaving the country to drive into the city!!!

 It's always fun to drive into the city, just wish it was at least 20 degrees warmer!!!

We planned to arrive in Chicago just in time for lunch! We even had a restaurant all picked out, we were going for PIZZA! We drove around the block a couple of times & then...Lennie got a parking spot right in front of the Pizza place!?!

It's called Lou Malnatis Pizza, it's deep dish with a butter crust!

We ordered our pizza, the waiter told us it would take 40 minutes but it would be well worth the wait! It came, one bite & we knew the waiter was right!!!

We had 2 pieces leftover. Guess what we're having for dinner!?!

Well.....we better go walk off some of that pizza, especially me since I didn't walk this morning!!!

It was pretty cool out to be walking around the city, call us wimps, we didn't spend a lot of time there, but enough, we had a good time! I think Lennie is missing Otis, he's ready to head back to the country & pick Otis up!!!

We pull up to Eric & Nancy's house. I had messaged Izzy when  we were getting close that we were on our way to pick up Otis!

Here's Mr Otis! Izzy did a great job dog sitting him, but he was real happy to be back with us!

Look at that....straight to Lennie, & he says "I" spoil the dog...hah!

Now here's a spoiled dog! this is Otis' friend Pickles!

Back at the RV in the comforts of his own bed & his own bone, awwwww home!
