Are we there yet? 2013: Buena Vista Car Show----Patio Pancake Place

July 5, 2015-Sunday-This morning we have fairly early plans, we're going to leave for a drive into Buena Vista for a car show. I'm not walking today because of our early plans. Of course Lennie still rides his bike, he's afraid he might gain an ounce if he doesn't walk or ride sometime during the day.....After coffee & oatmeal we get ready for today's adventure! We try to make early plans so we can beat the afternoon rain!

And of course before we reach our actual destination, which is a walk around the Farmer's Market then car show.....we have to stop & take some scenic pictures!

Last year Lennie & I stayed at an RV Park in Buena Vista, these Collegiate Peaks were beautiful!

I have a feeling we're not going to spend much time at the Farmer's Market, but we may as well take a peek, it''s right next to the Car Show!?!

I was right....not much happening at the Farmer's Market, let's walk over to the car show & see some cool cars!

We walked over to grab a light lunch, our plans were to have a light lunch then walk over to the Ice Cream place at the park....during our lunch we could see the afternoon clouds rolling in & pretty soon we saw people carrying umbrellas, some of the cars were leaving the car show. We finished our lunch, still had ice cream on our minds, we knew there was a huge pavilion at the park, we could eat our ice cream under cover! It was raining as we walked the short distance to our car, as we reached our car, down pour! Our thoughts were to just sit it out in the car.....but on second thought, why don't we head back to Salida.....they have a SONIC there & we can still get ice cream!?!

As we left our parking space, Lennie told Rich & Joan about some old rail road tunnels in Buena Vista, they were interested in seeing them. The rain had slacked up, we drove to the tunnels.

While we were at the tunnels, we saw a group of what looked to be students learning how to cliff climb....

This sure is beautiful country!

We head back through the old railroad tunnels with ice cream still on our minds!!!

Salida isn't that far from Buena Vista, we'll be having Ice Cream in no time!!!

Ahhh the pause that refreshes!

Of course LENNIE had to get Otis a McDoubles.....

So everyone had a happy ending to their day!!!

July 6, 2015-Monday- Today is a 2 for one day!We have to go into Salida to go to the Laundromat.....so why not go out to breakfast first!?! Sounds like a plan for everyone except......Otis!
