July 10, 2015-Friday- Okay....we're tired of the rain, we're ready to do something fun & adventurous!!! According to last night's weather forecast....this is suppose to be a nice weekend!!! Last year when we were in Colorado, we wanted to go to Royal Gorge. We've been there before, about 35 years ago! Last year, due to all the fires, Royal gorge was still closed to the public. Now it's back open, we have a nice weekend....let's go!

& look at that rafter, WAY down there!!!
Now we're going to walk across Royal Gorge on the bridge!
You could feel a sway in the bridge when walking!!!
This is the Arkansas River, at the bottom of the Gorge, taken between a crack in the bridge, take my word for it!!!
Really??? How long would your fishing line have to be!?!
All the state flags lined the bridge.
July 11, 2015-Saturday- Another good day in the makings!!! Today after coffee & dog walks......
we're packing a picnic lunch & heading to Cottonwood Pass! Otis is going with us, but he isn't going to tell Abbey & TJ that they're staying behind....

This is the same Ice cream shop we almost went to the day of the car show until the rain changed our minds! We came here last year.

Otis is a little put out, he's so use to riding in the front seat & sometimes even on Lennie's lap! Now he's in the back seat with me!
Rich & Joan who use to live in Westcliffe, Colorado, (not too far from here) but had never been to Cottonwood Pass before! Lennie & I came here last year. Some things are worth repeating!!!
Even the wild flowers are beautiful!
Otis turned TURNCOAT on me....he moved up to the front seat & Rich's lap!!

We're heading back down because.....I don't know if the Dumont's are a bad influence on us.....or if we're a bad influence on them!?! Either case we've decided to stop in Buena Vista for.....ICE CREAM!
Is Lennie mad at the Dumont's? Maybe they are the bad influence on us!?!

Pretty scenery. I don't think I'd be waking that gondola ride or walking on that bridge...didn't like that crack photo, Wen....scarry!!! Glad you chose our state to pose with the flag!! The Dumont's dogs are so darn cute. But Otis is top dog and he says "Ma, but I can't see from back there!!" I know, you thought it was all about you, right??!!! HAHAHAHA You guys are looking great, so tanned and healthy. Can't wait for more adventures!!
