July 23, 2015-Thursday-Today is one of those days we really don't have anything planned, except I am going to be doing laundry....not my favorite but necessary, &....it's only $1.50 to wash here, beats the $2.75 in Salida, I mean if you have to pay to do laundry....you want to pay the least amount you can!?!After we have breakfast & take Otis out, we're going to run around & check out a few Thrift Shops. Thanks to Pinterest I'm going to attempt to try & make a Tshirt scarf. I'm looking for some old Tshirts just to see if I can make this scarf or not. I thought this Tshirt scarf was a new thing as I have just started seeing them in shops, but according to Pinterest postings I see they've been around for awhile I'm just catching on to it!?!
We knew before we headed out that today is NATIONAL HOT DOG DAY & when our running around brought us to the lunch hour, what choice did we have but to have a HOT DOG!?!
At prices like that, we splurged & had 2 hot dogs apiece, one of each! We didn't bring one home to Otis!?!
That was about it for today's venture. I did buy a Tshirt while out thrift shopping, now I will do a practice scarf before I attempt to make one to wear myself, or give away!
We had dinner & I did laundry. Tomorrow is our last day here in Manitou Springs. That week really went by fast!
July 25, 2015-Friday-Can it be.....is our week here really over??? We usually spend more than a week where we're visiting. We got a lot in, & today we're going to finish up. Again Otis is going to wait at the RV, it's pretty warm out. Even tho I've noticed most the shops say DOG FRIENDLY, Otis isn't shopping friendly & today we're going to walk around Old Colorado City. Later we will go to Janis' apartment & she is going to show us...I hope, a good Mexican restaurant!!!
Don't tell Otis that dogs were allowed here in Old Colorado City!
It was a fun little town to poke around in. I saw a Tshirt scarf in one of their many unique shops!?!
We went to the Food Trucks!!! I don't know how long the Food Trucks have been parking at this abandoned gas station but my friend Janis has lived in Colorado Springs for 10 years & has never eaten at them! This is our 2nd time, last year & now today!
There was 3 different "food" trucks to choose from. We read all the menus then went to our favorite!

Medical & Recreational Marijuana is legal in Colorado. You see the shops EVERYWHERE, you recognize them by the GREEN crosses. I compare them to Walgreens & CVS they have so many of the shops so close together!
Lennie just reminded me it's lunch time & we're going to a fun place for lunch(another reason Otis couldn't come with us!?!). I can't believe I'm going to eat lunch knowing we're going for Mexican for dinner???? Did I mention we're going to a fun place for lunch!?!
Then there was a DESSERT Truck & this gal was smart! She walked from patron to patron offering up free samples. Today's sample was SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIE BITES! I almost got us a brownie dessert except for the fact....Lennie had another coupon for a buy one get one sundae at Culver's!!!!
I can't believe we're eating all this!(I got my salted caramel after all!)
We're finally going back to the RV! We better run around the block a few times before we go out to eat! I attempt to feed Otis but he's always suspicious when I feed him before he smells "PEOPLE" food cooking! He wouldn't eat....oh well it's in his bowl! He probably figures we'll bring his a McDoubles for leaving him again!
We pick up Janis & she directs Lennie as to how to get to the Mexican Restaurant. I'm not real hungry....wish I hadn't eaten so much during the day. I'll try to force myself to eat!
It was a big restaurant, they even had an outside eating patio. We ate inside. I chose fish tacos, I like them a lot & I figured I could make room for them!
The photo, compliments of our waiter, shows the 3 of us enjoying our dinner. Really should be the 4 of us because Lennie saved some of his pork for Otis!!! Nobody wanted dessert, I understand why Lennie & I passed!?!
Back at Janis' apartment we said Good-bye till later, who knows we might come back to Colorado again next year???
Wow we had a busy last day here! Otis was glad to see us get back, or was it really Lennie's doggie bag that Otis was soooooo happy to see!?!
