July 19, 2015-Sunday- This morning we're going to go to the Colorado Flea Market. We're going to get an early start before someone else buys all the Best FLEAS!?! Another reason we're leaving early is to get there & back before the afternoon storms so poor Otis won't be scared!!!
There it is.....the Flea Market!!!!I'm going to look hard too, they must have something I need/want???
Maybe in here???
You'll have to admit....this is definitely a Flea Market with a view!
I think we looked at everything????Somebody else must have bought that something special I was looking for!?!
On the way home from the Flea Market, we stopped at Walmart. We only needed a couple of things, I in particular....I needed a vacuum cleaner. The stick vacuum I had with me, poor little vacuum....it just wasn't designed to keep up with the carpet, it gave it's all, but it's going to be replaced. (We won't hold a farewell ceremony for the stick vacuum!)
We got home before the afternoon rains & in time for Lennie to have some leftover Pizza. I put the vacuum together while Lennie was eating. As soon as I got the main part of the vacuum out of the box....Otis RAN to Lennie's lap!
In the almost 9 years we've had Otis, I have NEVER chased him with the vacuum cleaner, but he sure is scared of it!?!
Poor scared Otis!
Lennie put a turkey loin on the grill, we had a nice dinner & after dinner we took Otis for a nice walk at the adjacent park where we had a nice surprise!!! We saw a deer walking in the park & me without my camera....But, Lennie had his cellphone! I snapped some pictures & FINALLY figured out how to get the pictures from HIS cellphone to MY travel blog! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!?!
Pretty cool way for us to end our day!
July 20, 2015-Monday-Today we plan to have a picnic luncheon at Garden of the Gods. Garden of the Gods is FREE, PET FRIENDLY, BEAUTIFUL, &.....just a bike ride away from our RV park! We are not riding our bikes as I mentioned Pet Friendly, but our bikes are NOT pet friendly!!! We're not getting an early start as Lennie is busy on the phone trying to take care of our Illinois real estate dealings. He's been playing a lot of phone tag this morning! At last he makes connection & I start packing our lunch so we can leave as soon as Len gets off the phone. Like I said, it's close by, but it will get crowded with visitors quickly! Okay...we're leaving now! Right away we see backed up traffic....can it be this crowded already???
Oh Oh...we see the problem! A couple of guys entered this entrance with their motor homes! Now they need traffic to stop both ways as they need both lanes to turn around & exit the park!
Get in line to order, & oh my.....the food is soooooo good!
NO plates....you eat your food on butcher paper!

.
Somebody definitely forgot to read this sign as they entered the park!?!
It's a beautiful park....did I mention that before!?!
We've been here before, & we're going to come back again during this trip!
We decide to do something a little sneaky!!!! We're going to take Otis home, then catch the free shuttle bus that takes us to Historic Manitou Springs!
This is a fun little town to walk around in. Lots of unique shops.
We catch the shuttle & go back back to the RV Park. We are NOT done being sneaky!!!! After I feed Otis, Lennie & I slip off to Rudy's BBQ, we love this place!
We are familiar with Rudy's from when we lived in Texas....Get in line to order, & oh my.....the food is soooooo good!
NO plates....you eat your food on butcher paper!
It wasn't all bad for Otis waiting at home, we had enough pork & brisket that Otis got a nice treat when we got back to the RV!
OOOOH that was so good & I am soooooo full!
Time to put my jammies on & call it a night!
Such SAD Otis eyes...poor Otis. Those were awesome deer photos. Fun to see them in real life. I saw 2 when I went fishing the other night!!! (Very odd around here). I love your purple shades (pretty top too). I bet you loved those 'kinfolk' doors. Such an interesting town to wander.
