July 18, 2015-Saturday-This morning we have our coffee & oatmeal, no walking tho we're pulling out about 10:00am. Our destination is Manitou Springs, Colorado it's about a 90 mile drive.We need to have our electric meter read by Cowboy Bob before we take off. We learn that Cowboy Bob has taken another group of guests off riding on a horse trail.The work camper Sandy comes over to read our meter but when she turns the reading into Theresa (Cowboy Bob's wife), Theresa states there is no charge for our 3 week usage of electricity??? It was Cowboy Bob's way of making up for our situation in the mud bog! That turned out to be better than a free meal at the Cafe!
Otis can sense when we're ready to take off, he's never been left behind but he doesn't want to take any chances either & get in the "ready seat"!

We keep driving, Lennie has planned our departure so we'll have to stop at Cheyenne Mountain State Park for lunch. I think his stomach is always on his mind!?! I will admit the park is a beautiful place for lunch!

We leave the Dumont's behind but only momentarily, we've already met their new neighbor, another couple from Florida!
We say good-bye to our scenic site....
& to our friends Rich & Joan. We've sure enjoyed ourselves these past 3 weeks. We'll see the Dumont's later when we all get back to Florida!

The RV Park doesn't have a designated pet walk area, but we are adjacent to a park & directly behind the RV Park is a walking path. Ready to go exploring Otis!?!

We couldn't help but talk to this guy carrying his dog! The dog is a 10 year old yellow lab, they were definitely "travelers" I don't know how far they had come, but he said they had about a 20 minute walk left to go???
It was starting to rain when we saw this guy & his dog, we had less than a 10 minute walk back to the RV park. When we got back to the RV Park we sat in the back listening to the creek. I was watching for this guy & his dog to come by, but I didn't see them. It started to thunder & lightening, then rain so we went inside.I hope this guy & his dog made it to their destination before the down pour......
We ended our evening with a home made pizza!
