August 12, 2015-Wednesday- Today is another day of eye opening scenery!!!! We are taking a picnic lunch to Eldorado Canyon. A first for both of us, & thanks to Lennie's research we are in for a beautiful day of scenery!
All roads lead to the mountains!!!
The Park we're about to see is not very big. It's only a mile long. The fact we're staying at Vrain State Park, is all we need for entrance fee at Eldorado State Park.
Otis & I went & checked out the picnic area while Lennie went into the Ranger Station to get a map & brochures.
The Ranger told Lennie the best way to enjoy this park is on foot & easy to do since it's only a mile wide. Hear that Otis, we're going hiking after our lunch!
Picnic with a view!
After we ate, we put everything back in the car so we could begin exploring Eldorado State Park. That's where I run into a problem! I always take toooo many pictures of things that impress me & this state park was soooooo impressive. The problems comes in when I post the pictures, so hard to pick & choose!?!
WILD LIFE?????
The park may only be a mile wide, but I don't know how high!?!
The Park Ranger told Lennie there was 30 rock climbers signed in today.
We saw a few of them!
So peaceful!
Taking a break!
"Andy & Opie"!!! heading to the fishing hole!?!
This was NOT my favorite picture, but it was Lennie's!!!!
We saw it all, I wish you could have seen it all too. Hope you liked my selection of pictures!
Sunset at Vrain State Park!
So far Vrain State Park hasn't let us down in the Sunset department!!!!
Great way to end our day!
Great sunset pictures!! 😄
ReplyDeleteYou need to get one of those selfie sticks so you and Lennie can be in the same picture!
ReplyDeleteYou have such interesting picnics (quite a feast). And Lennie picks such pretty places too. I love all the photos of Eldorado State Park. You and Lennie could be in the same picture if he holds the camera out and up with his longer arms. You should try it. I agree with Lana. And get him to smile now and again LOL LOL!!!
