Are we there yet? 2013: May 23-June 24, 2016-Our Illinois visit-Still wrapping things Up!(Lunch with Ron...@the Erickson's...concert with the Tomter's)

Friday June 17, 2016- Today we continue wrapping up our quick visits with whoever is available !!! We are going to meet Ron & Terrie for a burger at Bristol Tap. It's a bar/burger joint but I bet they sell more root beer in the mug than beer? Maybe not....but we always go for the root beer!!!

We try to make at least one trip to Bristol Tap when we're visiting this area!

Later on the same day, we picked up Leif, drove into Aurora to Rivers Edge to the Aurora Blues Festival. You're just going to have to take my word for it. My type of camera wasn't allowed inside, & trying to take pictures on the cell phone is for the younger generation! We saw Marcia Ball & Robert Cray & band. Both performances were really good. The Blues Festival was all weekend, tomorrow's performance will be even better, Susan Tedeschi & her husband Derek Trucks, but.....unlike the Chicago Blues Festival which is FREE, the Aurora Blues Fest is NOT & Tedeschi/Trucks was pricey!!!!$$$$ My Bristol Tap burger held me over, but not Lennie! I couldn't believe he got something to eat!!! Believe it not....we didn't stop for a McDoubles for Otis on the way home!

Saturday June 18, 2016- Today is a TRIPLE HEADER! First we are meeting Lee & Lana at 8:00am for breakfast in Somonauk, then over to Eric & Nancy's to see what's going on at the Erickson household!!! After our visit with the Erickson's we'll drive into Oswego for dinner & a FREE concert (Smash Mouth) at Prairie Fest with Tammy & the kids. Smash Mouth DOESN'T sound like our kind of music but we'll see!?! Busy,Busy,Busy!!!!

After breakfast we went back to the RV to pick up Otis, he'll be part of the rest of our visiting today!

There's never a dull moment @ the Erickson's & there's always something going on over there! Today was no different, today they were celebrating their grandson Troy's 3rd birthday. Between his-hers-theirs, & adopted.....they have 15 kids & 15 grand kids!!!!! We weren't there for the party just a quick visit before heading over to Tammy's house! Not EVERYONE had arrived yet while we were there, I was able to take pictures of some of the crew!!!

Father's Day Gift!

Otis is getting his Father/Son talk as we're getting ready to leave for the Prairie Fest & Otis will have to stay at Tammy's house with her animals!

This is a yearly event that Oswego & surrounding towns look forward to.

It was really crowded! Tammy said it was because the band Smash Mouth was performing???

Tammy being a teacher, plus her 3 kids going through school in Oswego.....she knew everyone there, or so it seemed!

Jordan(in the light colored hat) went to the Prairie Fest earlier in the day with friends. He didn't know the rest of us had arrived till Tammy approached him with her"your mother's here embarrassment!!!!
