Our destination today is Peter's Pond Campground in Sandwich, Massachusetts
I guess the construction crew doesn't get Columbus Day Off????
The traffic eases up, turns out there was also an accident......
For as long as we've been traveling Lennie always makes our RV reservations a month out to always be on the safe side, so imagine our surprise when Peter's Pond Campground called us this morning telling us "someone" made a mistake on our reservation....we are booked from Oct 12th thru the 17th, now they inform us the park closes October 15th???? Boy.....thanks for the advance warning!?!
Take my word for it, we have just entered New Hampshire! The state sign was NOT in photo range!
The New Hampshire Rest Area was a break for Otis, & lunch for all. When we were getting ready to leave, a man was walking his Golden Retriever, Otis perked up & tried barking at the dog but just a little "SEAL SQUEAK" came out of him!!! He sounds soooo funny!!!!
We arrived at Peter's Pond about 6:00pm tonight, just in time to start dinner!We out time here shortened we have to change out visiting/sight seeing plans!Lennie checks the weather for this area so we can make our plans. Tomorrow is suppose to be good, weather-wise we'll see what happens!?! After dinner & dishes I try to call Muriel to see if she's available for a visit tomorrow!!! I can't reach Muriel??? Hmmmm even Joe isn't answering the phone & I know he doesn't go anywhere except...Dr appointments?????I finally reach Muriel!!!! We plan to go to the Centre Cemetery in Wareham first thing in the morning, then go to Joe & Muriel's place in N. Abington!!!!

So much for going to the cemetery this morning.....according to the weather, the rain is suppose to clear out before noon. We're still going to Joe & Muriel's, we'll leave here in a little bit. Otis isn't going to want to go out for his potty walk!
Here we are at the Slack residence!!!! We're going to visit awhile then take Muriel out to lunch. Joe has an appointment with a VN, even if he didn't, he would prefer to stay in the comforts of his own home, it's just easier on him.We didn't even get the chance to ring the doorbell...Muriel came right out to greet us!!!After a bit of visiting, we left to go to lunch.We went back to the same restaurant we went to the year Chris joined us on our trip out east. The restaurant, The Clam Box, is in Quincy, Ma.

Back at the house....Muriel twisted our arms till we gave in & had cake & ice cream!
Only Joe resisted the cake & ice cream.I'm beginning to wonder if we truly are related to Joe!?!
We had a nice visit, too short, but nice. We're hoping to pass this way again next year!
Muriel sent us home with home made pumpkin bread & a jar of her home made relish. I'm already thinking about how good her pumpkin bread is going to taste with a cup of coffee in the morning!
She also gave my spoiled brat (Otis) a new toy. At her house he acted unappreciative of the gift. That's just the way Otis is when given a toy or a treat.....he wants to enjoy it in his own surroundings???
We parked on the street in front of the restaurant where we had a good view of Boston!
On the way back to the RV park I could see the sun setting behind us.
Lennie teasing Otis like he was going to take his new favorite toy away & Otis can't bark yet but Lennie still got the message not to mess with the new toy!!!
I kept thinking about that pumpkin bread.....finally it got the best of me! I can not wait till breakfast....I'm having some now!!!
