October 16, 2015-Friday- Our original travel plans when we left Massachusetts was to go to Intercourse, Pennsylvania.When our time got cut short in Massachusetts, we called the campground in Pa to see if we could come in 2 days early, but noooooo, they were booked! Then we decided to make a reservation in or near New Haven, Connecticut because our Florida/Colorado now-Connecticut friends, Rich & Joan Dumont are now living in New Haven! Great, it's close to I-95 when we take off for Intercourse, PA!!!! This is all going to work out after all! We make our reservations at Riverdale Farm Campsite, it's in Clinton, Connecticut about 20 minutes from New Haven. Then I send a message to Joan Dumont & tell them where we'll be & let's get together for a lunch or dinner! She messages me back that they are on their way to FLORIDA to take care of some business.......oh boy! I guess we did that backwards!Oh well, we'll go ahead & go & see what New Haven is all about on our own!!!
Since Rhode Island is the smallest state in the Union, you'd think they could put up a bigger sign, then they hide it behind the overhead....oh well, just passing through!

Seems like we came to New Haven at the wrong time!!! Tonight is going to be record low temperatures & most likely FROST on the Pumpkins!!! I know the heater & the electric blanket will be on tonight!!!! And Otis......well he's hoping that FROST ON THE PUMPKINS.....

It is a Brick Oven Pizza & they don't take long! We ordered a large so we'd have enough left for dinner!
aaaaah, that was good, it'll be good later too!
The following are pictures from around the Yale University Campus. We couldn't stop & I couldn't get out of the car. There were police cars, fire trucks, & ambulances all over. With all the campus gun shooting lately, I feared the worse.
See the towers in the background of this picture? We later learned on the news that a construction worker fell into one of these towers during project renovation. They were able to get the man out but sadly he died later.....
We plan on going to see a movie if we can figure out how to use the parking meter! How come EVERYTHING has to be so hi-tech????
Finally, but....that hi-tech parking meter will only let you CHARGE 2 hours at a time, so during the movie, Lennie is going to dash out to feed the meter! We saw the Movie Black Mass, the Whitey Bulger Story. I had already read the book SOUTHIE, the Whitey Bulger story was just one chapter out of the book. It was a good read if you like that type of story!
When we get back to the RV park, Lennie is going to hook the car up & disconnect the hose because tonight is going to be another COLD one!!!
This is an example of how spoiled Lennie has Otis! Lennie is outside the RV hooking up the car, & Otis can't stand not being able to see him! He was so antsy till Len came back inside! Tomorrow we leave for Intercourse, Pennsylvania. I haven't warned Otis that's Amish country.....
Riverdale Farms looks like a nice place and the foliage is awesome. I like Otis' Halloween costume!!! Trick of Treat, Otis!!! What kind of pizza did you order?
