tho a chill in the morning air, the sun was shining brightly. Lennie opened the blinds to let some of that sunshine in & to help take the chill off while we ate breakfast. It didn't take Otis long to find that ray of sunshine!?!
Today we are going to Zion National Park. We're going to wear that park pass out yet! We are just going to take the auto trail....everything you can see by car because once again we're traveling with a handicap.....OTIS! After I pack our picnic lunch we take off for the park!
As we enter Zion National Park, only one word comes to my mind....AWESOME!!! I start taking pictures & video, every turn is another sight!
At one point we had to drive through a tunnel. This tunnel was dug back in the 1930's. Can you imagine the equipment they must have had to use back then to tackle this task????You have to be escorted by a ranger through the tunnel, especially if there's an RV in the traffic line, because RVs have to drive down the center of the road. RVs also have to pay a $15.00 escort fee!
Now inside the tunnel!
Didn't I say we packed a picnic lunch!?! Well let's eat that lunch & enjoy yet another view while we eat!
Tomorrow Lennie & I are coming back to Zion National Park. This time we are taking the Hop On-Hop Off shuttle tour. The shuttle will take us to places in the park we couldn't go today in our car. But guess what!?! Mr Otis is not going!!! Thanks to Gail, the owner of the RV park where we're staying, she hooked us up with a young neighbor, who is going to pet set Otis!
I can't wait for tomorrow, tho my lap is going to miss Otis....NOT!!!!
How lucky to have a sitter for Otis..he hates to be alone!!! I keep noticing the glass coke bottles...haven't seen them in years. The vistas keep getting better and better..so beautiful! Have Lennie take a picture of you at the picnic table next time. (no sunglasses) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most interesting place for me, the park is so nice and a lot of beautiful views there.
