May 1, 2013 Ready To Roll!

Yesterday was Happy Birthday Lennie & today is Happy Trails to us!!!!The days leading up to actually taking off are pretty hectic, not just for us but for "Otis" too! He's so afraid he's not going, he even refuses to eat!?! The last minute packing of all the small stuff is worse than the actual packing. Finally we just have to say "If we don't have it with us, either we don't need it, or we'll buy it later!"Our goal for this trip is to make it to Utah before the summer weather heats it up too much to enjoy the state. Utah is a state neither one of us have ever been to. We are looking forward to enjoying the beauty of that state we have only seen in pictures. Okay, let's get this adventure started!!!!

We left Viera in a slightly overcast weather.Our main concern was to get ahead of the LOVE BUGS (anyone from Florida will know what I'm talking about!)We didn't do too bad we had some love bugs but the rainy weather kept them down.
We got as far as Montgomery,Alabama our destination for the night. Staying at The Woods RV Park, a Passport America park a real plus when we travel! I took Otis for a walk while Lennie set up all the outside stuff. Otis gets himself sooooo worked up before we leave. He hasn't eaten in 3 days. After I set up the "inside stuff" I fixed spaghetti for dinner. Otis wouldn't eat HIS dinner but he did have a little of Len's sausage!
With dishes out of the way it's time to relax. Len does all the driving so I know he's tired. It's raining now. So far the only thing we could hope for is better weather!
