May 7,2013 First time in Albuquque

May 7th- Guess what!?! Today we are wearing T-shirts & no jackets!!! It feels sooooo good! First thing on our agenda this morning is to get a car wash! Our car is soooooo dirty from driving in all the rain, you can't even tell what color it is!?! Otis isn't going with us today so after a nice potty walk we head out for a carwash then we're going to play "TOURISTS"! I know the car felt better after her bath, she sure looked better!
We drove over to a section of town called Historic Old Town filled with lots of shops to poke around in & lots of restaurants. We almost ate at the Hacienda restaurant

but Lennie decided to eat downtown at a restaurant called The Frontier.

Good call! That place had a "fast food" feeling when you entered it & walked to the counter to place your order, but when the food came, it was anything but fast food. No DIET today we ate good & enjoyed every bite!
We don't like leaving Otis in the RV too long so time to head back to the RV park. This RV park has a couple "Golden Oldies" Campers on display. We are not far from the old Route 66. There's a lot of Rt 66 memorabilia in the Office/gift shop. I had to do laundry when we got back but it wasn't too bad I went to the gift shop to look at all the cool stuff they have on display & for sale!
Our wonderful lunch was sooooo filling we didn't even have dinner! I'd like to do that more often! Otis doesn't like that cause he always wants a bite of whatever we're eating!
Tomorrow we're going to have a picnic!!!!!
