May 9, 2013 Arizona Bound.......

Today is a travel day, we're leaving Albuquerque & winding up in Pinetop/Lakeside, Az . Usually we just drive from Point A to Point B, so there'd be nothing to blog about.....but not this time!?!

We stopped to enjoy the 28 mile park road drive that offers overlooks with long-distance vistas of the Painted Desert. It was awesome!!!! It was easy to see how it earned it's name.

At the end of the 28 mile drive it was back to working our way to Point B!!! Which was the Rainbow Forrest RV Park in Pinetop, Az.

The owner of the RV Park, Mark, was a real character! At first I thought he was drunk he was so goofy, but I realized he was just a little "out there". He piloted Len into our RV site & had Len crash right into the fence! Good thing it was just our hitch. Then Mark says, "Don't worry about it, I didn't want that fence to begin with!"

Snug in our site, I made a quick dinner so we could go visit with the Gillihans, Lennie's cousin's who live here in Pinetop/Lakeside, Az!
